About Korea Unspoken

Small rules make a big difference when you are new somewhere.

Korea Unspoken collects practical observations that can make the first minutes of a visit easier to read. The focus is not on finding more places. It is on understanding how a place may work once you arrive.

We begin in Busan and write in English for foreign visitors. A note may cover an order of actions, a layout cue, or a simple question worth asking. It should make a limited, checkable claim instead of presenting one experience as a rule for all of Korea.

How course scores work

Our course scores are editorial, not copied from a booking or review platform. Each route is scored out of 100: route efficiency 30, visitor value 30, ease and friction 20, and evidence confidence 20. A category at 90–100% of its maximum is a clear strength, 75–89% is strong with a material tradeoff, 60–74% is workable with notable friction, and below 60% usually calls for a route change.

VISIT BUSAN and operator pages support practical facts. Google Maps listings and direct English-language community threads help us notice possible visitor friction, but we do not systematically sample or preserve individual platform reviews. Community comments are self-selected and change over time, so we link the entry points we checked, label the result as a traveler signal, and do not treat it as fact.

Conditions change. Use these field notes as preparation, then follow the current guidance at the venue and ask staff when the next step is unclear.
